Application: Apply 1-2 drops on location. Directly inhale. Diffuse. This oil does not have to be diluted on adults. For children under two, dilute before using topically.

Allergy Stick Recipe – Melt the follow ingredients in a double boiler and then pour into an empty chap stick container: ½ cup coconut oil, 1 TBS beeswax, 15 drops lavender, 8 drops tea tree oil, 5 drops eucalyptus oil, 3 drops peppermint. For full instructions visit Frugally Sustainable.
Bath Soak – Add a drop of lavender to a handful of Epsom salts. Toss into hot bath water.
Bruises and Cuts – Apply topically to promote healing.
Bug Bites – Apply topically to reduce itch and promote healing.
Calming Effect – Massage on bottom of feet.
Chapped Lips – Apply diluted with coconut oil.
Cramps – Rub on lower abdomen.
Cough – Dab on nose and neck.
Dandruff – Put a drop of lavender in a handful of shampoo. Wash and rinse hair.
Deodorant Recipe – Cream the first three ingredients. Mix in essential oils. ½ cup coconut oil, ½ cup arrowroot, 1 ½ TBS baking soda, 10-20 drops lavender, optional 2TBS beeswax. Ear Pain – Rub behind the ear. Do NOT put essential oils directly in the ear.
Hay Fever – Inhale from bottle. Or rub on the back of the hand and inhale.
Nausea – Rub on belly or behind ears.
Night Time Spray – Add the following ingredients to a 4 oz bottle: 1 ½ TBS of witch hazel or vodka, 6-10 drops of lavender. Fill remainder of bottle with distilled water.
Runny Nose – Rub 1 drop of Lavender under nose.
Sinus Health – Rub on neck, chest, and behind ears.
Sunburn – Dilute with aloe vera gel and apply to sunburn for a cooling effect.
Baby
Calming or Bedtime Rub – Dilute and rub on the bottoms of baby’s feet.
Diaper Rash Cream – Melt the following ingredients in a double boiler. Add essential oils last, after removing from heat. 1/2 cup Shea butter, 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1 TBS beeswax, 2 TBS vegetable glycerin. Store in a glass container. Sore Mommy Breast – Over-supply can cause sometimes cause pain. Apply undiluted Lavender to breasts to help reduce inflammation. Be sure nipples are clean before nursing.
Stretch Marks on Mom – Rub undiluted Lavender on stretch marks to reduce their appearance.
Teething – Freeze a washcloth that has been wet with water and a few drops of lavender. Give to baby to chew.
Beauty
Acne – Dab on pimples or add to moisturizer.
Anti-Aging Stick Recipe – Melt the following ingredients in a double boiler, adding essential oils last after removing from heat: 1 TBS meadowfoam seed oil, 2 tsp coconut oil, 1.5 tsp beeswax, ½ tsp Shea butter, ½ tsp vitamin e oil, 7 drops frankincense, 10 drops lavender. Cleanser (Purifying Cleanser) Recipe – Mix the following ingredients: 3 TBS boiling water, 2 tsp salt, 4 TBS castile soap, 10 drops of lavender. Can add rosemary for blemish prone skin.
Hair Growth – Put lavender in shampoo or put 2 drops on hair brush.
Perfume – Apply to wrists or behind the ears.
Puffy Eyes – Dilute and rub under eyes.
Scar Tissue – Apply to scars topically.
Varicose Veins – Apply to veins topically.
Wrinkles – Apply to wrinkles topically to promote smooth skin.
Home
Clothes – Put lavender on a cotton ball. Place in drawer.
Cleaners – If you make your own cleaners and want to add fragrance, use lavender. Lavender helps neutralize the vinegar smell in most home-made cleaners.
Humidifier – Put a few drop in humidifier to purify the air. Do NOT use citrus oils in humidifier. They will break down plastic.
Laundry – Put lavender on a wet cloth and toss into dryer with wet clothes. Or make a sock ball with a few drops of lavender. Place in dryer as dryer sheet.
Linen Spray – Place the following ingredients in a 4 oz bottle: 1 TBS vodka, 15 drops lavender. Fill remainder of bottle with distilled water.
Mattress Cleaner – Mix 1 cup baking soda and 5 drops lavender. Sprinkle on mattress with a sieve. Let it set for 1 hour. Vacuum off.
Pet Odor – Mix lavender with baking soda. Sprinkle on carpet. Set 30 minutes. Vacuum.
Room Spray – Put the following ingredients in a 4 oz bottle: 1 TBS vodka, 15 drops lavender. Fill remainder of bottle with water. Add other oils for fragrance.
